OONA: Look, Touch, Own

On October 17th, 2023, we had the pleasure of curating a private preview of anonymous performance & conceptual artist OONA’s latest performance and visual art series 𝑳𝑶𝑶𝑲 𝑻𝑶𝑼𝑪𝑯 𝑶𝑾𝑵. In the performance, the artist invited attendees to touch her breasts & the silicon implants that used to be inside them. This intimate 1 on 1 performance piece prompted a myriad of emotional reactions from attendees as they grappled with the sexualization of the female form in art & societal beauty standards. From the first 300 touches at private previews in London, LA, and now NYC, OONA draws from the emotional and analytical data associated with each touch to create 300 unique visual artworks which reshape how we see breasts, beauty, & ownership.
