Recursive Reflections
Our Recursive Reflections exhibition opening at Subjective on May 18th during Frieze New York was a resounding success, marking a memorable night in the world of AI art. We were thrilled to debut Jennifer and Kevin McCoy's new project, "Land, Sea, and Sky," and Sasha Stiles & Nathaniel Stern's "Still Moving" - two groundbreaking works that captivated our guests and pushed the boundaries of the AI art form. Camilia Araque's dance performance, in conjunction with Sasha and Nathaniel's interactive work, was a show-stopper, bringing an unexpected and beautiful dynamic to the event. The interaction of movement, technology, and art left viewers spellbound and deepened the dialogue around the role of AI in various forms of artistic expression. Showcased throughout the immersive space and basement were captivating works by Lulu xXX, Ellie Pritts, Clay Devlin, Ruben Fro, Anne Spalter, Dot Simulate, Aaron Alden, and Amli. Each piece added a unique voice to the narrative of the show, creating a rich tapestry of diverse perspectives on AI art. The 3rd and 4th floors presented a phenomenal lineup of both physical and digital works, broadening the scope of the exhibition and celebrating the many facets of artistic expression in the digital age. Curated by Clay Devlin, the Recursive Reflections exhibition truly reflected the transformative power of AI within the art world, offering attendees a unique insight into this rapidly evolving movement. The success of the opening night serves as a testament to the burgeoning interest in AI art and its potential to challenge and reshape our understanding of creativity.
